The implementation of mutual agreements with Syria has been actively pursued, says Iran’s Minister of Oil Javad Owji.

Zeighami made the remarks on the sidelines of the 16th Iran-Belarus Joint Commission session which was held in the Iranian capital on Tuesday.

The commission session was co-chaired by Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Abbas Aliabadi and his Belarusian counterpart Aleksandr Rogozhnik.

Owji made the remarks in a meeting held in Moscow, on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week forum with his Syrian counterpart Firas Kaddour.

Owji also highlighted the recent developments in Palestine, emphasizing the impact of the Resistance operation, dubbed Al Aqsa Storm, against Israel, and asserted that this operation exposed the hollow grandeur of the occupying regime.

Kaddour also expressed a desire to strengthen Damascus-Tehran ties in the oil and energy sectors. He also emphasized the importance of supporting Palestinians in the current situation.

As Iran’s chairman for the Tehran-Moscow intergovernmental committee, Owji is in Moscow at the invitation of the Russian prime minister to participate in the international forum of the Russian Energy Week from October 12 to 14. He has held separate talks with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Alexey Miller, the chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee of Russia.
